State Commander from Arkansas, Rosalyn Cox

Ron Rusko - 5/23/2017

The State Commander from Arkansas, Rosalyn Cox, presented a graduating student at the Coast Guard Academy with a special clock given on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief and the members of the VFW.  It is given to a student who excels in the humanities.  We don't know the student's name until it is announced at the graduation, but she is from Brookfield. CT.  Rosalyn  Cox was chosen by the Commander-in-Chief to represent him there because Rosalyn Cox graduated from the academy and retired from the coast guard after 20 + years of service.  The State Commander was her host for a couple of days and Rosalyn Cox had the chance to visit some old haunts and a couple of VFW Posts in the area. The Commander and Rosalyn Cox had a captain from the academy (pictured) escort them through the event yesterday that included a parade of the cadets that passed in review and a lunch with all of them.
